Mothers Day Weekend

This past weekend was so fun and relaxing and the weather was beautiful! We celebrated my moms birthday and Mothers Day on Saturday and then spent the day on Sunday by ourselves at our house. Here are a few pics from the weekend:

This was Audrey's gift to her Grammy, a princess birthday cake!

Mothers Day morning, Jason and Audrey got me Starbucks and Audrey got a milk. She thought it was pretty cool!

I love my kids!

This was the only picture of me and Audrey that we were both looking and I love it!

So tired!!

My new front step plants (well bushes actually). The frog is our garden ornament that Audrey carries all over the yard!

Storybook Balance Beam

This week has been a battle against sickness in our house. Jason and Audrey have colds, coughs, sore throats and who knows what else. Needless to say, my hands have seen enough soap and sanitizer for a lifetime. I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that I do not get this icky bug they have!

Yesterday, after a full morning and afternoon on the couch resting, I decided it was time to get Audrey up and moving for a little bit. I've been racking my brain trying to figure out a way to make a homemade balance beam - ever since Audrey started Little Gym she has a fear of the balance beam, and I want her to practice at home without the stress of the class atmosphere. So, I got this idea (all on my own, with NO help from Pinterest, lol!) to make a ground level balance beam using our books. It worked and Audrey immediately knew what to do. We even practiced holding the noodle above her head while walking just like we learned at Little Gym.
