Audrey's 1st Dentist Visit

This morning I took Audrey to her first dental checkup. She wasn't exactly thrilled about the visit but I think she handled it fairly well. They just did a quick toothbrush cleaning and checked out all of her teeth. Thankfully, everything looked great. She has 4 more molars yet to come in and I just can't wait until they start to pop through (insert sarcastic tone)! Seriously, once they grow in I will probably have one less excuse as to why she won't go to sleep at night but until then, I'll keep that as my excuse!

Her dentist specializes in pediatrics and it's a cute little office with a beach/nautical theme. Audrey loved touching the light house wall paper and giggled when I told her Rapunzel might live in that tower. What I also love....it's directly above Starbucks - BINGO!

Not really understanding any of this...

This was the button her dentist gave us. It was so comical to get her to pose for this picture and her expression is priceless!

Princess Audrey?

We came home from our Build a Bear party to a package on our front door. Jason ordered Audrey a Rapunzel dress in honor of her new fond obsession to the movie Tangled. I actually don't mind this obsession because the movie is really cute and there are some great (and catchy) songs in it. Needless to say, the dress had to immediately be put on so she could try spinning, prancing, twirling, dreaming, and whatever else it is that princesses do these days. Jason is really on board with all of this girly girl stuff!

What do you think?

"Oh wow! I love it!"

Yep, this dress is a keeper! Thanks daddy!

Audrey's Build-A-Bear Party

Today we celebrated Audrey's birthday with all of her friends at Build-A-Bear. I'm so happy we did this for her because it was such a nicely organized party. Jason and I had so much fun watching Audrey and her guests pick out the perfect stuffed animal, kiss the hearts, stuff, wash and finally pick out names for their new friends.

In all honesty, watching these children made me feel like I was young again. I remember how important and hard it was to name a new stuffed animal and how genuine your love can be for it. I overheard Audrey's friend Bella say "I'm going to bring Tori home and she's going to sleep in my room with me EVERY night".  Doesn't that just bring a happy little tear to your eye?? A child's love is so pure and sweet! I'm so very happy that we could bring a smile to their faces and let them take home something to love and care for. I'm sure these animals are feeling very loved tonight!

I'm almost certain I remembered most of the names each animal was given, so I'll give it a shot in typing it out. BTW, these names are just the sweetest!

Audrey: Brown Bear named Snuggles
Mea: Pink Bear named Molly
Ethan: Brown Dog named Patches
Avie: Pink Bear: Pinky (I'm almost sure this was the name)
Lucas: Penguin named Coolie
Bella: Brown Bunny named Victoria Justice
Melina: Green Bear named Irish
Kyla: White Bear named Bear One (her daddy picked out the name and I think it's great!)

Kyla, what a sweetie

Ethan gave Audrey a sweet little hug when he arrived. My goodness this melts my heart!

Avie's dress was adorable!!

Making bear selections!

Must choose the perfect animal......

The older girls really enjoyed this!

Everyone received two hearts and they gave them some love and held it to their cheeks....

Audrey put her heart on my cheek :)

One heart of each guest went into Audrey's bear and their other heart went into their own animal. That means Audrey's bear has 9 hearts inside!!

Yay!

One last activity before we left - singing happy birthday B.A.B style!

Much needed snacks and cupcakes in the food court.

The Weekend

Here are a few photo's from our weekend. We spent most of the weekend with family - my mom came over and we visited Jason's parents and his sister Mallory who was in town for the weekend. We also went to a hibachi grill with Jason's family to celebrate Wendy's 30th birthday, but  unfortunately I forgot my camera.

Audrey pushed her stool over to help with the dishes

Valentines Day

Valentines Day at our house began quite early when Audrey woke up with the stomach flu. Audrey and I were disappointed that we had to cancel the party we planned for our friends. We were going to have Eiffel Tower grilled cheese and  strawberries for the kids and spring salads, artichoke dip and smoothies for the mommies. We had a Valentines craft and games planned too. We later learned that the friends we invited were all sick too. So instead, we spent the day on the couch in our pajamas watching Disney movies - Tangled, Lady and the Tramp, and Winnie the Poo. Audrey took three long naps and by the time Jason came home, she was feeling so much better! Jason and I were planning on a lobster and steak dinner but decided to change our plans to something more simple and just ordered pizza. We had fun sitting around our kitchen table eating, opening cards and gifts and taking pictures. Our day didn't go quite as planned but I'm glad for the day we were given and the snuggle time I had with Audrey.

2 dozen beautiful colored roses from my sweet husband!

Audrey : "woo-hoo" just like I said in the last post
