January 31st?

58 degrees on January 31st? Unheard of!!!


A trip to the zoo was a MUST today! 


Audrey and I invited our friends Evelinne and Lucas along to soak in the sun. Oh, the glorious sun!! Today, we were blessed with great weather and awesome animal sightings. It was obvious the animals were enjoying the sun as much as we were.

Yes, the tutu came to the zoo but we took it off so it didn't get dirty

Zoo Trip in January

Yesterday was a gorgeous day, especially for January. Perfect for a quick trip to the zoo! Audrey and I went with our friends Candis and Kyla. We visited elephants, monkeys, fish, lions, and the Rain Forest. With all of the walking/running Audrey did I thought she would for sure fall asleep on the car ride home - nope! She's proving every day that she's growing up and can handle more energetic activities.

She didn't want much to do with being in her stroller.  I can't blame her, walking is so much more fun! 

Visit to The Natural History Museum

On Saturday we went to the Natural History Museum to see Dinosaurs. Jason and I had not been since we were both children and forgot how small it actually is. It only took about an hour and a half to explore the entire museum and we discovered it was actually the perfect amount of time we needed to spend there with a 23 month old. Before we went, we told Audrey we were going to see Dinosaurs and she knew exactly what we were talking about. She gave us her best "roar" and off in the car we went. It was such a fun saturday afternoon family activity!!

Just a little bit of what Audrey has been up to, besides being sick for the past few months with a cold, cough, ear infection, sore throat, and who knows what else.......

Little Girl in a Big Bed

This is Chauncey, Audrey, and Lucy hanging out in our bed last night. Audrey was playing with her Tinkerbell shadow flashlight and watching a show before bedtime. I remember being in my parents bed as a child thinking how big it was and how SPECIAL it was to be in their bed all by myself.  I hope Audrey feels just as happy, safe, and loved as I did when I hung out in my parents bed. If I had to guess, I would think she does! 

Disney on Ice

Because we just could not get enough at Disney World, we took Audrey to see Disney on Ice! What a fun family afternoon. Audrey dressed up Princess style in her tutu and ballerina shirt for the occasion and picked out a Tangled light lantern for the show. Unfortunately we had to keep it stashed away until we got home because she kept threatening to throw it over the balcony - lol! It was great to see Mickey, Minne, and all of the Princesses again!
