Easter Weekend

We celebrated Easter Saturday and Sunday this year. Saturday was a beautiful sunny and warm day. We hung out at home and then headed up to see Nana and Pawpaw.

The Easter Bunny made a special stop for Audrey at Nana's house!! He brought her a puzzle, book, bathing suit, dress, and a mermaid bath toy. But the most interesting thing to Audrey was the paper crinkle grass in the basket. The green basket in the pictures was Jason's from when he was a little boy!

We woke up Sunday morning and discovered the Easter Bunny made a stop at the Middaugh house too! He delivered some books and a new summer outfit all packed in this cool Elmo Easter basket!

Then it was time to get dressed and meet Grammy, Uncle Jason and Jordan for Easter Brunch at our favorite family hangout, The Cheesecake Factory. Audrey wasn't too excited about getting out of her jammies to put a dress on. It didn't go over so well at first but she warmed up to it eventually.

Next up, we decided to spend a little bit of family time with just the three of us. We went to Barnes and Noble to read books, get coffee and browse around. I have to say this was by far the best part of the entire weekend....



Lunchtime Visit

On Thursday I stopped home at lunch to see my little "ballerina". I'm so glad I decided to drive home and see her because it was a super fun visit. She was all smiles and giggles! She was my needed breath of fresh air for the day and a great reminder that the only thing that ultimately matters is my family (and friends) that I love. I snapped a few pictures and here are my favorites....

Playground

It was such a nice evening that we decided to go to the park and swing for a little bit. Actually, this was Audrey's first time on a real playground swing. She loved it!!

Hello Spring!

Today was our first day of beautiful spring weather! We decided to take a long overdue walk in our neighborhood. Audrey got to try out her green umbrella stroller for the first time and she loved it . Chauncey enjoyed his second walk of the day too.

New Shoes

Yesterday I took Audrey to get her first pair of Nordstrom shoes. This was her first real experience in a shoe store with a shoe sales person. When she put the shoes on Audrey, her face lit up and she immediately grabbed at them. Then we stood her up in the mirror and she gazed at her shoes knowing they were just for her. We decided to keep them on since she loved them so much. They are silver with little sparkles and super cute. This picture sums up her excitement! I think we have a little shoe diva......

Welcome!!

I've wanted to start this blog for almost a year and I'm so happy I finally had the time to create this. I made this to share our family adventures and as a way for you to watch Audrey grow. Hope you enjoy....

Here is a recent pic of Audrey playing in our living room. It's a much different room than it was just a little over a year ago. Jason and I said we would never have toys all over our house and now, we wouldn't have it any other way. Although the toys may seem like clutter, it's a reminder of the life we created and the fun it brings. I won't lie though, Jason can't sleep at night unless every toy is put back in it's place and the books are neatly stacked up. But that's okay, Audrey knows how to put it all back her way in about 30 seconds!
